Mihingo Lodge is a peaceful and exclusive retreat adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park in Uganda. Lake Mburo is home to many different animal species, including zebra, eland, and impala, who are not found in most other National Parks in Uganda. Additionally Lake Mburo has big numbers of waterbuck, topi, buffalo, hippo, duiker, bushbuck, klipspringer and if you are lucky you will see oribi, reedbuck, leopard and crocodiles. In appreciation of its fragile surroundings, Mihingo Lodge is an environmentally friendly accommodation.
The buildings of Mihingo lodge lodge, are constructed in such a way as to melt into the rocky outcrops and savannah landscape around them. Electricity, hot water, and water pumps are powered by solar energy and there is a natural water catchment system to take advantage of the rains. Most employees of Mihingo Lodge are from the surrounding communities and have received extensive training in hospitality services, and the management is dedicated to providing an exceptional safari experience for every visitor.
