Lacam means "cliff" in the local Sabine language. Located near the Mount Elgon National Park, some 5 hours northeast of Uganda's capital Kampala, Lacam Lodge offers superb views of the Sipi waterfalls - one of Uganda's most romantic and beautiful falls. By Car - From Kampala Drive to Mbale. Once in Mbale take the Soroti Road and after about 5 minutes drive turn right towards Kapchorwa (there is a signpost). Follow the tarmac road past Sironko. After 30 minutes from Mbale the tarmac road veers to the right and starts climbing about 15 minutes later you reach Sipi Trading Centre. Go through the trading centre and after about 300m, turn left at the Sign for Lacam Lodge just past the police post.
