The RainForest Lodge Mabira, is an upmarket, small ecolodge. The Lodge has been built using local, onsite materials to create a stunningly unique atmosphere for visitors to truly appreciate the beauty and magnificence of the Mabira Forest Reserve. Boasting over 100 species each of birds, butterflies and insects, 3 primate species and a crucial part of the reserves biodiversity.

The RainForest Lodge Mabira exhibits the peace and calm of an equatorial hardwood rainforest in the heart of Uganda. The RainForest Lodge has its own microclimate and changes quickly. Days are warm, evenings can be quite chilly. Environmental Considerations: The RainForest Lodge is an ecolodge. The lodge runs on hydroelectric power, with energy saving bulbs. Meals are cooked on gas. For showers, the water is heated by solar power fitted individually on each room. We use natural cleaners that will not pollute the surrounding forest.
