Ssese Habitat resort (SSEHAB) is found on the higher grounds of Buggala Islands. Buggala is the largest of the 84 Ssese Islands of Lake Victoria Africa's largest fresh water lake and probably the second in the World. Ssese Islands lie within close proximity to the equator and as such they are covered with natural lush green vegetation and tropical forest which is home to various bird species, insects and some animals.

Accessibility to Ssese island from the Uganda's main land has been made easy by the existence of a speed boat (Miss Victoria) and the ship (MV KALANGALA). The speed boat offers a private luxurious 45 minutes cruise to the Island at $650 while the MV KALANGALA ship is a public three hour water transport to the island. MV KALANGALA has a maximum capacity of 120 passengers plus 80tonnes of cargo. It is a modern ship equipped with all the necessary marine safety facilities operated by a smart and experienced crew. The ship promptly departs Nakiwogo pier at Entebbe at 2:00pm daily, and arrives at Lutoboka pier on Bugala Island. It has two classes with a first class fare at 8 USD/14000UGX and economy class fare 10,000UGX. It is also installed with T.V screens for onboard entertainment to provide an enjoyable comfortable journey. Passengers wishing to travel with their vehicles pay 50,000UGX. There is a restaurant that serves snacks to the two classes.
