Travel Tips
Language:  English is the official language and is spoken widely throughout the country.  There are also over 30 indigenous languages spoken by the locals.

Weather:  Temperatures generally range from warm-hot and the seasons fluctuate between dry or rainy.  The seasons are no longer as predictable as they used to be, so contact us ahead of your trip for advice.

What to wear:  With warm to hot temperatures all year round, bring lots of light clothes.  Evenings do get cool enough to warrant a light sweater or jacket every now and then, so do bring one with you.  If you will be spending time at higher altitudes you will need to pack more warm clothing.  Hiking boots or some good walking shoes are a must if you intend to do any exploration.  A hat, sunglasses, sun screen (which you can source locally) will come in handy.

Eating out:  Unlike in most western countries, tipping in the service industry is not widely practiced and where it is, there no guidelines on how much is appropriate.

'Is that your final offer?':  Bargaining is the order of the day here, especially when dealing with smaller stores, buying crafts and dealing with those in the service industry.  When in doubt ask your host for advice.
