| Getting There |
Entebbe International Airport, which lies 40kms from the capital Kampala, is serviced by a number of international airlines, including SN Brussels, British Airways, South African Airways, Kenya Airways, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, Air Tanzania, Rwandair Express, Egypt Air and Ethiopian Airlines.
Uganda can also be reached overland from Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. Regional buses service these routes or if you are really in for the total experience, rent a car. Some visitors might need to purchase a visa at the border, either way have your travel documents handy. Upon arrival you will be directed to the Customs and Immigration desks where you may have to purchase a visa (visit your embassy website to find out if you will need a visa). Foreign exchange bureaus and ATM facilities are available at the airport if you need some cash.
